Here is my Sugar Bowl entry for this week

This was a really quick make for the monochrome challenge on FB and also for the sugar bowl :) Not enough hours in the day for crafting just now :(

Lovin this new personalised stamp

This is a wee creation I have made for a friend of a friend.  I used a new changeable customised stamp for the greeting which I think might come in very useful. One of my favourite Sugar Nellie Stamps (of course) and a hand punched daisy flower.... She looks pretty sweet and I hope she likes it - making cards for strangers is always a bit risky...... its Friday ... the weekend and for me that means the dreaded nightshifts loom :(

Latest Sugarry Stuff

Here is my latest sassy little number for the Sugar Bowl Challenge. I Also made this card almost exclusively from some stash sent to me in a random act of kindness RAK from Lou over on the Sugar Nellie FB page. THis limited my choice of colours because I wanted to use mostly bits from LOU. She is coloured with promarkers and has added sparkle not really visible on the photo.
New sassy stamps and a few others arrived this morning so off to try something new

THis months sugar bowl entry - Hamish

Here is Hamish using Erika's sketch (well kind of !!) with distress inks and scrunched up paper. I used distress ink to colour most of him and paper pieced his kilt. He is kind of FUN !!! He will be my entry into this weeks Sugar bowl challenge over on the Sugar Bowl blog!!!

Windswept but Beautiful

Here is windswept from Sugar Nellies. I was in the middle of 3 nasty nightshifts when I made her so her colouring is pretty poor but I keep practicing.. I am loving making these flowers and can recommend the Paper Bouquet Book for those of you who might like a dabble in paper punching. The flowers are time consuming but I love them ...... Top tip... place all the things you might like for crafting on your universal Amazon wishlist and hope husband spots them just before your birthday. My husband did a good job :):)
anyway nightshifts done for another week and I have promised myself an afternoon of blog hopping which I NEVER have time for ..... sofa, coffee and laptop is all I need ...... Happy crafting :)

Engagement card and a try at distressing

I made this card for a friend. I dont often play with distressing and I also don't very often not use stamped images so this was a new adventure for me. I like it a lot. I cut the names from  my new sizzix alphabet that I bought recently at a great price on the sizzix site, I think it was down to about £16 !!!! Its cold and damp here in the north and that gives me the perfect excuse to play in my craft room this afternoon  !!!!

Here is my purple and green entry for this months sugar bowl. Didn't really spend enough time shading her. Too much work and not enough time and a husband who drags me out when its sunny.... oh for rainy days when there's nothing to do but craft .......
Might go in by the House of Sugar today though  - just for a browse of course !!!

Here are my latest additions.As you can see I also like to bead.  Unfortunately nightshifts are eating up my life and not only restrict my crafting time but also the time I have to write on and look at the blogging world. Harry's Birthday

My son is almost 16 and the "boy card challenge" was upon me. He plays in a band and is a big rock fan. The cards are not fancy as he would not like the fuss. The metal charms are just the perfect touch I think ...
